KW Cares and Liberty Continue To Promise to Give Back To Charity

KW Cares and Liberty continue to give back to charities. These charities help those who are affected by natural disasters such as wildfires and droughts.

St. Louis, United States - July 30, 2018 /PressCable/ —

St. Louis, Missouri (July 30, 2018)- A local St. Louis charity called KW Cares offers disaster and emergency funding to the families of its associates. KW Cares is a non-profit that is the result of Keller Williams, a St. Louis based real estate company that has set aside time to give back. This public charity is now supported by associates from all across North America, including Liberty Consultants. The company attained 503 status, which allows them to accept donations on behalf of those in need. This includes men, women, and children across the country who have been affected from disasters such as wildfires and droughts.

KW Cares ends up giving a percentage of their donations to three different causes : 1) Homes For Our Troops, who donates homes to veterans who served in the military after 9-11; 2) Ryan’s Well, a charity that helps deprived countries secure clean water; and 3) the MD Anderson Cancer Center, which supports a multitude of programs working together to find a cure. The outgoing tithes complete a four-pronged approach to giving which KW Cares supports with tax-deductible, tax-exempt donations. Their status in line with the government as a 503 charity lends an air of trustworthiness, as the IRS does not grant such a leniency unless the operation is making a substantial difference.

KW Cares took in an abundant amount of donations last year that it became a struggle to keep up while running their own business. This is a good problem to have in which they ended up bringing another company into the fold. KW Cares teamed up with Liberty Consultants who is another St. Louis based real estate company who also seeks to give back. The two companies combined resources will help expand their access to potential donors where each cause should benefit from the exposure. Protests squeezing Hong Kong economy, tourism, leader says

Oct 18, 2019

HONG KONG — Hong Kong's economy is languishing after months of increasingly violent protests, the city's embattled leader Carrie Lam said Tuesday. Lam, addressing reporters after a long weekend of more turmoil, said tourism arrivals were down by half and that hotels and retailers were suffering. Hong Kong's third quarter economic data will definitely be "very bad", said Lam, the semi-autonomous territory's Beijing-backed chief executive said. Lam said she did not have the data with her. But empty streets and tourist attractions are evidence of the fallout from the protests that began in June over a now-shelved extradition bill that...

US priest who gave out gifts in Philippines accused of abuse

Oct 18, 2019

TALUSTUSAN, Philippines — The American priest's voice echoed over the phone line, his sharp Midwestern accent softened over the decades by a gentle Filipino lilt. On the other end, recording the call, was a young man battered by shame but anxious to get the priest to describe exactly what had happened in this little island village. "I should have known better than trying to just have a life," the priest said in the November 2018 call. "Happy days are gone. It's all over." But, the young man later told the Associated Press, those days were happy only for the priest....

Hong Kong police and protesters clash, ending violence lull

Oct 18, 2019

HONG KONG — Hong Kong protesters threw bricks and gasoline bombs at police, who responded with tear gas, as chaotic scenes returned to the summer-long anti-government protests on Saturday for the first time in nearly two weeks. Hundreds of black-clad protesters armed with bamboo poles and baseball bats fought with police officers wielding batons on a main road following a march against "smart lampposts" that was sparked by surveillance fears. The chaotic scenes unfolded outside a police station and a nearby shopping mall as officers in riot gear faced off with protesters who set up makeshift street barricades. The violence...

Chinese pop stars publicly back Beijing on Hong Kong

Oct 18, 2019

HONG KONG — At least eight pop stars from mainland China and one each from Taiwan and Hong Kong are publicly stating their support for Beijing's one-China policy, eliciting a mixture of disappointment and understanding from fans. Many of the statements came after protesters opposed to Beijing's growing influence over semi-autonomous Hong Kong removed a Chinese flag and tossed it into Victoria Harbour earlier this month. Lay Zhang, Jackson Wang, Lai Kuan-lin and Victoria Song were among the K-pop singers who recently uploaded a Chinese flag and declared themselves as "one of 1.4 billion guardians of the Chinese flag" on...
